Thank you for your interest in the Kenyon Review Young Science Writers Program (June 24-July 7).
You will need to create a free Submittable account in order to apply, which you can do below. If you already have a Submittable account, please sign in using your existing account. Be sure to add submittable.com to your address book and/or check your spam folders for email confirmations and notifications that we will send via Submittable.
All application materials are due by March 15th (your teacher will have until March 21st to upload a recommendation, but you must submit his/her email address with this application form by March 15th).
Please have all of the following application materials ready to submit when you fill out this application:
- Essay. Please upload a brief essay (not to exceed 300 words) that illustrates why you are interested in participating in the Young Science Writers Workshop and what you might contribute to it.
- Teacher Recommendation. Please enter the name and email address of the teacher who will submit your recommendation. Once the entire application form is complete and has been submitted online, your teacher will receive an email with a link to upload a letter of recommendation to your application. Please let your teacher know when you have submitted your application and ask him/her to check spam folders for this email.
- High School Transcript. Please upload a copy of your transcripts showing all high school grades thus far. We accept official and unofficial transcripts.
- Financial Aid Information (optional). If you will be applying for need-based financial aid, be sure to fill out the financial aid section of this form, and have any additional financial aid documents ready to upload when you apply (additional financial aid documents are recommended, but not required, and may include copies of your most recent tax return and/or a letter explaining circumstances affecting your financial status).
