The application for Fiction Workshops consists of this online application form, a resume, and a writing sample. The writing sample should not exceed 20 pages, and may be one short story or an excerpt from a longer work.


This year we have limited scholarship funds to offer toward tuition to adult writers workshop participants who demonstrate financial need and have published in reputable literary journals (be sure to include publications in uploaded resume). All scholarships are granted on the basis of both merit and need. We especially encourage writers to apply who belong to underrepresented groups or underserved populations.


If you would like to apply for a partial scholarship, please fill out this section. To be considered for a scholarship you must submit your workshop application by January 15, 2019. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid to late February 2019.


We are offering two sessions of Fiction Workshops:
 

  • Session One: June 16-22
  • Session Two: July 7-13

  The application for the Writers Workshop for Teachers consists of this online application form, a resume, and a sample creative writing lesson plan (not to exceed 300 words).

    This year we have limited scholarship funds to go toward the tuition of participants in our writers workshop for teachers who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to public school teachers in underserved areas.
